DIY: Pumpkin Spice Latte

Seriously…this recipe creates the best Pumpkin Spice Latte I’ve ever had..let alone made. In my humble opinion, this is far better than Starbucks!

Honestly, I was just looking for a way to satisfy my coffee shop urge over this weekend. I’ve been sick the past few days and couldn’t bring myself to leave the house, so I set out to create something coffee shop worthy from what I had at home.

Please, try it out, perfect it, enjoy it, let the amazing fall spice aroma fill your home. You won’t regret it!

Ingredients

1 Whole Cinnamon Stick

1 Whole Nutmeg

A Few Whole Cloves

2 TBSP Sugar

1 Cup of Milk (I like Almond Milk, but you can use whatever your heart desires!)

1 Cup French Press Coffee (Or just strong coffee, or espresso; I am just obsessed with my french press lately)

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring the milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves to a boil. Turn off the heat and cover. Let this glorious mixture infuse for about 20 minutes (give or take, depending on how strong you want the spiced taste)
  2. Divide into your favorite mugs, add coffee to the desired strength and optionally garnish with whipped cream and cinnamon.
  3. Share with a friend

  1. Sounds delicious – will have to try it!! You’re really getting in to cooking and trying new things, but you have always liked to cook.

Your Dad’s here for a couple of days to see if he can get the rest of the crop off, so please pray for him that things will go well. This has been a frustrating harvest this year.

It’s really frosty this morning & only 25 degrees, and yesterday our high temp was 40 with 35 mph winds, so guess fall is here and winter on the way. Am dreading winter this year, for some reason. Not a fan of cold weather.

I hope you’re felling better now, please take care of yourself. Love you, Gram
